This program is funded by a BC FireSmart grant and aims to help homeowners make their properties more resilient to wildfires. It’s not intended to provide free disposal for your apple-tree prunings, though a few deciduous branches aren’t a problem. This is a great opportunity to limb your coniferous trees up to 2 meters and remove any highly flammable shrubs or limbs from around your house.
